Every year, since 2006, all wound care professionals have met in Bremen. Chronic Wounds initiative, our long-term partner in cooperation, has been working with us for many years. A leading congress, V. was created.The DEWU German Wound Congress & Bremen Nursing Congress, a specialist conference with an accompanying exhibition of medical and nursing products, is a congress for specialists in medicine, nursing care and wound management. The double congress brings together participants from the outpatient, acute and inpatient clinical care, as well as wound experts, doctors, and employees of the healthcare industry.
Patient safety is our most valuable asset. However, it can have a paralyzing impact if data protection, for instance, slows digital progress down too much. We need innovation and science to treat wounds that are difficult to heal.The question for German nursing research is, why is it so underrepresented in the wound care sector in comparison to other European countries? Is the academization in nursing too narrow for us? What is the overall nursing perspective on the changes to the law? What is the perspective of doctors who specialize in chronic wounds.Wound care in the clinic is not very appealing. Here, the role of politics and health insurance providers is called for. This congress is a great opportunity to improve your everyday life as a professional and the lives of your patients.Participation is also part of practice: "Patient-centered care" means that not only are you responsible for your patient's health and well-being, but so are their relatives, pharmacists and physiotherapists as well as social services, nursing and social workers, and last but not least the patient.
